We are an online platform for student housing in Madrid. We connect students and young professionals with verified rooms and properties from landlords all over the city.

Step 1. Use our filters to search and find your ideal room. We provide quality pictures, as well as important and useful information to help you decide. If you need personal advice on properties that best suit your needs, please contact us through this form. 

Step 2. Request to book. We will hold the room and contact the landlord immediately. We will answer your request in less than 24 hours. You can contact us at any time to ask for updates on your booking process. At this stage we will ask for your payment. However, it will only be charged once the landlord accepts the booking. 

Step 3. Once your request is accepted, the payment will be charged, and you will be ready to go. We will send you the confirmation details and you can start preparing your arrival to Madrid! 

Step 4. Arrange your arrival with your landlord; you might be asked to send documents such as: a copy of your passport and enrollment to your university. 

The landlord should provide a housing contract. Make sure to read through the contract and ask if you have any doubts. Important things to ask: Cancellation policy, additional expenses, and return of your deposit. At this stage you might be asked for payments like the security deposit and additional fees. Sign the contract, get your keys and move in!

We provide verified properties from trusted landlords in order to assure you get what you are paying for. We work hard in making our information and pictures as accurate as possible. Your safety and comfort are our priorities. We help you in the decision-making process by clearing any doubts you might have and advising you about the properties and areas that best suit your needs. As a safety measure, we hold the payment of your first month’s rent for 24-hours before transferring it to the landlord. We are international people like you and we have a full understanding of your concerns!

At the time of the booking we will give you the option to pay by credit or debit card. SRM uses a secure platform to protect your payments and privacy. An invoice will be issued and sent to your email regarding the payment of our Booking Fee. If you need an invoice for the monthly rent or any other payment (deposit), you must contact your landlord, as he will be responsible for this. Please notice all payments are made in Euros. If you hold a credit/debit card in another currency, your bank will apply the corresponding exchange rates. Any refund will also be made in Euros. This means, you might receive a different amount in your currency than what you originally paid due to exchange rates.

SRM’s one-time booking fee will be determined by the price of the accommodation. You will always see this amount before any payment is made.

At Checkout you will be given the option to apply a discount code. If you get a discount code through one of our promotions or partners, please apply it at this stage.

Every case is different, but we always want you to be happy with your accommodation.

 In the unlikely case your room or flat is different than the one you booked or doesn’t offer the amenities listed in the ad, we can help by mediating with your landlord or by offering other available options. 

Please notice we hold the payment for 24 hours after check-in. If everything goes smoothly, we will pay your landlord after these 24 hours. If you would like to file a complaint, you must do so before this time by sending us an email to: info@studentroomsinmadrid.com You must provide pictures and any other proof to support your claim.

 This will allow us to hold the payment to your landlord and mediate between the parties.

 If the issue with the room or flat is something that can easily be fixed, we suggest that you’ll be patient and let your landlord fix it as soon as possible. 

In every case, cancellation policies of the properties will be applied. Keep in mind that we won’t process any complaints after the 24-hour period.

You can find the landlord’s cancellation policies inside every property description page. In case of any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact us. Be aware that these policies are effective from your contract start-date and not from your move-in date.

If a landlord or SRM cancels the reservation after the confirmation has been sent, you will be entitled to a full refund of any payments made. 

The confirmation refers to the acceptance of a booking and not the booking request. SRM’s booking fee is non-refundable. 

SRM is also not liable for refunding other payments (security deposit, admin fees). For other cases, the cancellation policy of the landlord will be applied

A security deposit is the payment requested by your landlord at the time of checkin. This payment will be held during the length of your stay to cover any potential damages or in case you decide to move out earlier than agreed.

 If no damages occurred and you abided by the terms of your contract, your security deposit will be refunded. Please keep in mind that in some occasions it can take up to two months to get the security deposit back.

 This can happen when your bills are not included, and you must wait for all the invoices to arrive. The landlord will then deduct the corresponding amounts and refund the rest.

You must be at least 18 years old by the time of the booking. 

Our landlords usually look for students and young professionals between the ages of 18 to 35.
